Cause I want no motherfuckin part of it

Seems my life has been busy lately in a fairly good way. This last weekend I went to EC on a whim basically and got to see a number of my buddies that I don’t get to see terribly regularly. Always good to see people and get the fuck outta dodge. Hell, that was the first time that I have really managed to make it out of town since October. So that was just great all around.

Got my taxes taken care of last week along with various other projects. Hell seems I have been taking care of various projects pretty regularly. Today for example I got my computer set up so I can control it with my palm pilot if I can find an Internet connection. So yeah, half my projects are geeky as hell but its keeping myself busy in this shit-ass cold winter.

Speaking of winter, it seems like this winter has lasted a lot longer then it should have in various ways. We are 20-30 degrees below average at the moment. This winter has been long in other ways but then again, I have been told that the winter will make the spring, whenever it arrives, so much sweeter that I can’t complain at that point. So its kick back and wait for the weather to change.

Work is going pretty well. Had my review, got my raise, got my bonus, got a boss who is willing to help me do whatever I want to do if I can ever figure that out. Big if, but all well. That’s really all there is on that front, work is towards the bottom of the issues I have been concentrating on lately.

Oh yeah, end of April I will be moving. I just have no idea where to yet. I don’t even know if I will be staying in MN at this point, although I am not sure where I would be moving to.

i have been changing somethings in my life over the course of the last month or so. I think its going well but its… to say the least, an interesting trip. Dunno what the end result will be but I guess I will find that out when I arrive.

Other then that… Nothing worth reporting.

Coming live from my own funeral

been a busy year for me so far. The first year some of my Internet friends and I got together to have fun in Minneapolis. There are some random pictures right here although I doubt that they are much interest to those who weren’t actually there.

Then the following weekend Mike came up from EC and we had a grand old time. Some interesting experiences. Always good to see an old friend.

the immediate following Monday I got a flat tire. No big dead, $11 to get that handled. Then the next Friday night I got another flat tire (different tire that time) which was free to get repaired. That one was coming home from the bar and there was no way in hell that I was going to change the tire a few blocks from home in the -35 windchill. That cold cold weekend I stayed home for the most part and then ended up being sick on late Sunday night. Woke myself up coughing which hasn’t happened in years and years. So i spent part of the next week dosed up on Nyquill and feeling largely like shit. But hey, mostly better now.

Due to the aforementioned sickness I had to skip out on going to eau claire. Which sucks but it is what it is. I managed to get out Friday night for a happy hour and then to go play pool with some friends. Then Saturday I caught a late coffee with a friend of mine before going over to Sandy’s for dinner. I think that the bartender was surprised to see me leave after only an hour or two, but that’s ok. I knew that I should be home and getting healthy anyway.

To skip back to the flat tire, the second one alerted me to some maintenance that I need to have done on my car. So tomorrow I get to drop the car off and then wince when I pick it up and pay the man. At least I am feeling healthy for the most part.

there have also been random other things that I have done here and there although at the moment I can’t recall them. I know that there was a happy hour with some former coworkers towards the beginning of the year. I know I did wings at least once. I know that I have a list of things to do that is at least 10 things long (and would all bore you all to tears unless you have a burning interest in my strange computer setup, in which case you need a life more then I do). But I am short on motivation lately so who knows when or if I will get around to some of them. Guess I am just going with the flow.

Looking forward to roughly 2 months from now when i get to go back to riding the bike. have some very tentative plans both for the bike itself and for some rides I might be taking. hell, might help me use up some of this PTO I have accumulated.

Other then that… nothing much going on in my life.
