I hope your thoughts will burn as you toss and squirm

And curse your life, feeling like you lost your turn

Another week down chalked down into the land of memories. So lets run down through the short part of things.

Thursday I picked up my suit for Trevor’s wedding and ended up spending, again, a bit more money. All well, there are worse things then spending a bit of scratch. Then it was over to the parents house for a BBQ, followed by running into an old friend for a beer or two.

Friday was up and sort of go after life. Lazy morning followed by going to a BBQ at C&L’s place. They are still one of the happiest couples I have ever seen. Got to see a bunch of friends and just hang out with a couple of beers. After that, sort of impromptu I went north with a friend for the weekend. Apparently I really needed the time away from life since I was able to sleep quite a bit. I always forget just how nice it is to get away from life and all of its troubles.

Course I realized on Saturday that I had forgotten my phone charger so I had to go out and get one so that I could pretend to be in contact with people. Pretty much it was a thing where I largely ignored the phone. Seemed to work out well. Had some nice steaks for dinner on Saturday and then it was chilling out in front of the fire for the rest of the evening with a couple of beers.

Sunday it was up and head home after a little bit. Traffic wasn’t bad overall which was sort of surprising. Got home and started taking care of things. At least the things I really felt I needed to get taken care of. Then out to dinner at Sandy’s and then home to my A/C for the evening.

Managed to read the first book and most of the second book in the Dark Tower while I was up north and realized that I really like it. I had always avoided it because it was Stephan King. But its very different from his standard writing. Seems I will need to pick up the last couple of books from somewhere.

Sounds like tonight I will be going to see Wanted which, from what I understand, is actually a sort of decent movie. Should be entertaining at least which is good, plus there is A/C in the movie theaters. With the weather here lately the A/C is needed. Course my car doesn’t have it anymore… But its been very humid lately. If it would just fucking rain like it keeps threatening to… life might be quite a bit nicer. Or at least my electric bill would be.

Well I think that about sums things up in my corner of the world. All the news that’s fit to print and so forth.

Yeah I’m leaving this place

Divorce papers falling the fuck out my briefcase

What a weekend. What a long grueling excellent weekend. Lets start from the top shall we?

Last week at work was training which sucks ass. Didn’t get to spend a single day at my desk, etc. Better yet it was training for stuff that I already knew how to do. In the end it was OK, I crushed everybody else for speed of completion and I would bet dollars to donuts that my accuracy rating was pretty high. There are some other issues going on at work including, potentially, a harassment charge that I am considering filing, which will suck if I have to do so.

Anyway, left work at about 3:30 on Friday, came home, did laundry and just generally got cleaned up and sort of ready for the weekend. Took Friday off from work completely, took care of a few more things that needed to get sorted before the weekend and by 12:01 I was on the road. Made it to Eau Claire at a decent hour and ditched my car. Then it was another 2 and a half hours int he car to the lake.

The rest of the weekend was filled with old friends, some of whom I had no contact with for the previous few years. A lot of drinking, a lot of socializing, not a lot of sleep… various other things as well. There was, as always, some drama but at the same time its still just so fucking nice to get away from my life, all parts of it, for a weekend that I can’t complain about what drama there was.

Coming back fucking sucked… about 6 hours in two different cars and I finally made it home. Took a shower to start feeling even remotely human again. Now that I have showered, eaten a little something and taken care of a few other things around the house… I feel that its time to relax on the couch with a beer for a while at least as soon as I touch on a few other things.

Got another short week at work this coming week, thank you very much for that one Federal holidays. I think that I am going to try and go for a nice long ride one of the days if I can swing it. But that’s a fairly big if, especially since there is a BBQ on the fourth that I have, apparently, been invited to. Need to find out details sometime soon.

Speaking of riding, I have put on a fair few miles this year already, over 1,500 on the bike. But the Midwest is such a fucking mud puddle right now that its rather hard to find a chance to go for long rides. Hopefully though I will be able to take the bike on some of the other trips that I am trying to pull of this summer.

OK, time for that beer and some relaxing.

My fate’ll say to me “Be calm and be cool”

But she learned to rule the world in cosmetology school
She’s not like a Betty Page, she’s like a Bible page
She’s like a neon sky filled with a wild haze

So the week in review, well it was an interesting week. Or something. To be honest pieces of it are kinda fuzzy.

Sunday I ended up being awake really late and then not sleeping terribly well that night. Had a rather interesting conversation that evening. It kept me awake a little turning a few things through my head.

Monday I was dragging ass through most of the day then it was a bike ride in the evening, then over to Sandy’s for dinner.

Tuesday and Wednesday were nothing terribly exciting I remember that. Nothing out of the ordinary, whatever that really means to people. Guess everyone’s idea is different.

Thursday evening I spent about three hours on the phone with people chatting and catching up with some old friends. It was certainly eye opening to say the least. Learned a lot about whats going on with some of the friends I used to see all the time in college. Quite interesting to me and, really, to nobody else.

Friday I took another half day from work and went riding. Always a good way to spend my time. Then dinner with a friend then headed out on the town with a buddy from out of town that I haven’t seen in many months. Ended up feeling quite nice and going down for the count quite late. Plus it appears that I will have no problem using my time off this year at the rate that I have been using it. All well though, its fun.

Saturday was a lot of routine crap around the house, then cleaning the bike, then going for a ride and then out to dinner. Followed up by visiting a friend. Saw some of Tideland before I went to bed. Let me tell you, that movie is fucked up.

Sunday was started off by a lovely ride on the bike, lunch, and then a great walk around Lake Calhoun. Got spit on a little bit while I was walking but hey, a little rain never killed anybody except the wicked witch of the west. While I can be wicked I am of the midwest. Then dinner with my parents, and after that starting to get things sorted for the coming week and weekend. Should be a good time when it comes.

Working on getting a 360 but I think its at least a week or three away. Should be a good time when it does happen. I am getting close to really needing a new entertainment center though. Still might not be a bad investment.

Other then that, not a whole lot shaking space cadets.
