I hate hearing stories bout who you’ve been with
Monday, August 3rd, 2009That’s when I gotta hide, what I’m feeling inside
Something brief, just for giggles more or less. Since Andy has left and gone back to CO I have been intermittently really busy with stuff one day and absolutely completely free the next. But to kick it from the beginning, got the bike dropped off on the 27th and then went and took care of stuff. Tuesday I got to indulge some of my anti-social feelings after such a prolonged house guest and did basically nothing all night. Wednesday was of course the drop date for MvC2 where I did … not great. Still totally worth the money spent and I am happy I did but man did I do not terribly well that night. Thursday I got the call saying what its going to take to get the bike out of hock, close to $200 and about a week possibly. But hey, it means it will be close to payday at least.
The weekend hit and Friday night I spent some time getting caught up on game demos. Seems since Andy was here I am getting back into gaming a bit more, wasn’t really expecting that for another few months when the weather started to turn again. But hey, whatever. Most of the demos I played sucked pretty bad in my mind for one reason or another so no buys there. Saturday was busy taking care of things around the house then the bar where I drank a decent amount and yet never got drunk. Interesting how that worked out but hey I am down. Sunday was mad social for part of the day followed by dinner and then some crazy soul caliber runs.
Today was back to work which is an interesting atmosphere these days with the health care reform talks going around the hill. Personally, having lived under various different systems (hooray for time abroad) I can see benefits and detriments for both. Its just a matter of which piper you want to pay since, believe me, there is always a price to this stuff regardless of which system you have. Otherwise I am cautiously optimistic at the moment regarding my prospects with certain employment possibilities.
Back to tentatively planning some trips at the moment. This recent vacation and how much I enjoyed the damn thing has reminded me that I should try to take vacations rather then staycations quite so often. So possibly a stateside trip this year and hopefully an international one next year if the economy recovers to the point where I can afford to go anywhere overseas. Either that or just go to some place even worse. Hello Kyrgyzstan! Although I am sure its a beautiful place.
Otherwise most of everything has been covered at this point. And amazingly enough, the weather has started to feel at least a little bit like summer in MN again. Humid, how and Hellish sums it up well enough for somebody who has a built in furnace. Other then that life is pretty good at the moment.
