Just like your motor, I’m ready hot and built to last
Hell, if cruising is your poison, let me cruise ya
Life is pretty goddamn stellar right now. But lets start off from the top. Last weekend I got off from work a few hours early and drove out west to Watertown MN, a town of roughly 3k people ti see two of my friends get hitched. They certainly seemed happy and the reception included a pig roast. That’s always a winner in my book. Course I had a blinker burn out on my way to the wedding so I had to be extra careful when I drove home. The next day of course I took care of that minor issue and then took care of random other issues before meeting up with a coworker for some beer. Following that, it was too the bar for some beer and burgers before video games at home with my buddies.
The rest of the weekend and subsequent week were more or less the same. Wednesday I met up with a coworker to plan some strategy for the upcoming busy season. Its a somewhat dismal outlook but more on that in a few minutes. Thursday morning I overslept. By an amazing amount no less. I didn’t get into work until almost 10 when I am normally there by about 7 am. It was … an interesting experience and one I hope to never replicate without future warning to my boss. Plus side is that i didn’t loose any PTO or anything and still didn’t have to work on Friday. So Friday I went out for a ride, followed by stopping by the bar for a bit to see some of my buddies. Saturday was more riding, wherein realized I need to futz with some things on the bike today (isn’t that always the case?) and will probably go do that in just a few minutes.
Work is work… we are heading into our busy season and I am fairly certain its going to be the worst one in years. Not only do we have new management but there are also some people out there who are trying to make us fail rather then just sitting back and seeing what happens. Still, my new boss seems to have a solid head on his shoulders and I have no other option then to do what I always do and see what happens. next week is going to be interesting since I will be flying solo for the entire week. Still, just slog through.
Life is pretty much awesome right now. I have been feeling better, bother physically and mentally, then I have in years I think. These life changes are a good thing all around and I can’t complain. Actually, I would be a fool to complain since its due to intentional changes in my life. When work is really the only thing to stress me out at all right now it means that I have to be doing something right.
Picked up some XBLA points and trying to decide between picking up Trials HD or Shadow Complex first. The first is like extreme Excitebike and the demo was fun but I am fairly certain that I would end up frustrated. The other, well, it gets amazing reviews but I am not sure how much, if any, replay value there is to it. Although now that I think about it, I will probably pick that up first. Still playing BF1943 on and off, although lately I haven’t been gaming much. By lately I mean this week roughly. Other then that… enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend (except for you in South Korea… yeah no holiday for you huh! How you like THAT?!)

Soon to be Trevnor the Scout, since when my 360 gets here, that’s the class I’ll be playing in BF1943. I’m super happy for Ben and his wife (name?) and I wish I could have been there. I’m glad things are going well for you right now, as they are for me here. In a couple of weeks I should be gaming with you online, and I really look forward to it.

On BF,seriously give all three classes a good shout out. Not a single one is unbalanced, they just are what they are and they work. Personally I tend to prefer rifleman (along with 95% of other people it seems) and they can wreck shop until they hit a vehicle. Infantry is great one on on and can repair vehicles. Scouts… wellaside from being sneaky fuckers who can also light up enemies from anywhere can destroy vehicles the easiest.
The wedding I went to in August was actually for my buddy Aaron, no pics but a grand old time. Meaty (Stephanie is his bride’s name btw) are getting married in about three weeks. That should be a good time.
Can’t wait for you to get a 360, I will game with you all night long baby. Or at least some. Also, you need to get shadow complex. It is another game that seems completely up your alley. Side scroller metroid/contra combo thats just awesome and great.
