Somedays never begin
So i went out and played dodgeball yesterday. A hell of a lot of fun to get out there and throw balls at people with no repercussions other then having balls thrown back at me of course. But for the most part the balls don’t hurt. However, the next day you are sore as shit it turns out. So sore that i barely wanted to crawl out of bed when the time came to start moving.
Other then that things have been fairly quiet the last few weeks. Swung by Eau Claire last weekend to see a friends new (to him) 1972 MG Midget as well as to drive the midget. It is indeed a fun car to drive. Not the fastest but it doesn’t need to be the fastest to be a great deal of fun.
Done some running around on the bike here and there but its not getting a whole lot of real regular riding lately. Its either been too fucking hot, raining or something personal has been off. But these things happen. The rides I have been getting in have been pretty good overall.
Slowly starting to gear up for the wedding that is >2 weeks away. Hard to believe how quickly time flies, it seems like yesterday that I was being asked to be in the wedding and now in two weeks the wedding will be over and done. I am happy for them even if I do have to wear a tux in July 😉
Really looking forward to seeing a few people at the wedding, like one of my friends who I haven’t seen in over 2 years now. It will be very interesting to see how we have changed and I know that we have, in fact, both changed since we last saw each other. In some good ways in some bad ways but you gotta take both ends of the spectrum.
So, since i know you are all eagerly awaiting the knowledge of what I did on the fourth, I hopped on the scooter and rode it down to New Ulm MN along some back roads. Stopped in at Schell’s Brewery, nice little place, wandered around and left. then a family BBQ. Nice quiet day off. let me do some thinking whilst I was riding… or rather it let my sub-conscious work on some stuff which doesn’t happen when I drive. Plus the 250 miles or so I rode only rang in at like $15 in gas including the fill up at the end. Not bad at all.
Been working on some stuff mentally, not going to go into details. Lotta stuff running through my brain (I know, I know, this is no different then normal aside from the content of what runs through my head). Not a bad thing but its certainly different. Taking some time to put things into perspective which, again, is not a bad thing. perspective helps sometimes.
Other then that… nothing real major going on in my life. Keeps me busy (as I want to be) keeps me entertained (as I want to be).
Oh, and I am planning on a week off fairly soon. Right around labor day weekend in some way/shape/form. A vacation will do me real good let me tell you.
