I know a world that is not enjoying itself
I know a world that’s destroying itself
Welcome to semi-regular update number whatever the fuck. 67 or so I think. Not that it really matters in the grand scheme. So lets hit this shit.
So most of last week is pretty boring, lets fast forward close to the weekend. Thursday night I finished co-op Halo 3 with Andy, still impressed with how the network handles it. We got a little lag towards the end once or twice but that was it. Other then that it was a quiet night.
Friday I took a half day to help a good friend move and then ended up being un-needed so I went over there and socialized and saw the new house. Pretty damn nice place. Then it was home for a little bit before heading up to the north burbs for a night of drinking and pool. Got a surprise phone call but more on that when we get to Saturday. Anyway, went undefeated all night (which means that I obviously was both on my game and playing somebody who is worse then me) and had a few beers. Pretty good evening.
Saturday I got a speeding ticket which is mucho bad news but we will see what ends up actually happening with all of that. Hopefully nothing too bad but I should find out before too long I imagine. So i went home and spent the day playing Assassin’s Creed. Have one kill left to make before what is, I think, the end of the game. Then I met up with my buddy John, which was a pleasant surprise. Turns out he was in town for 24 hours or so due to a memorial and had the foresight to give me a call once he landed. great to see him and great to catch up with him. Its impressive how much better we are then any of the other times we have seen each other.
Sunday I finally got the ride I wanted. Was out for about 11 hours on the bike for a good few hundred miles. Still feeling way more relaxed then I was before I rode, so I obviously needed the ride. The weather is supposed to stay good so I might manage to get some more rides in too which would be great for me.
Today was back to the grind which isn’t any fun but it happens. Not a big deal that’s for sure. But work is work, sending my resume off to be reviewed by an expert today and get some feedback there. Figure it will be constructive seeing as he hires people fairly often.
In gaming news, I played the demo for the force unleashed (which makes me even more impressed with the 360 since downloadable content is right there) and enjoyed it. Seems there are a number of games headed soon that actually look interesting. Including Fable II actually since, from what I am reading, its going to be a lot of the things that the first game promised and didn’t deliver.
Also got news that the Zombie pub crawl has been announced. Should be a good time and doesn’t conflict with oktoberfest this year either which is a bonus to me.
Well I think that’s all she wrote, besides murder so there we go for now.
