I am testing something here, so bear with me if it doesn’t work correctly, or at all. However if it works completely correctly, then I am a genius. Absolutely a genius. A modest one at that.

*update: with the exception of the fact that it wants me to have a title it works great. Genius, see?

So lets see… the blog should be getting more action within the next few months as riding season is quickly winding down into nothing. I rode about 400 miles on Sunday and it was, in many ways, heaven and hell. The first 200 ish were glorious. Sunny, slightly chilly, mostly smooth roads, and just great. The 200 or so home? Sucked. Cold, dark, windy, crap ass roads, just not fun. But I made it home and that’s really all there is to say about that. Actually, I guess I can add that I am still sore from it but that’s my fault. Nothing a good massage can’t fix though I suppose.

My Halloween has been very quiet. I went and got some takeout from BW3, worth it since I got avoid their crap service. Even have 10 wings or so left over for lunch tomorrow which is rather nice.

Lets see, what else is going on… I ran through a major update of my main computer on Saturday. With two exceptions I am amazingly pleased. However my screen saver doesn’t work anymore for some unknown reason. The other issue is that one of my music players on this computer doesn’t work anymore. Not sure how to go about fixing that one actually, but hopefully a fix for both of these will be released sooner rather then later. Really I did all of this in an effort to make my Palm Pilot work with this computer (my Ubuntu box) and it generally speaking works like a charm now so that’s rather good.

Work is work, it pays the bills and keeps me generally occupied for about 40 hours a week. What more can I ask for at this point? Hell sometimes it even provides me odd little intellectual puzzles and that’s a hell of a perk all things considered.

X-Men III? Not great but its better then Aeon Flux. Battle Royale II however was rather interesting.

Well that’s enough for now, lets see if it takes another month and a half before I update again.

After a month and a half I find time to update. Shock of all shocks, no? Well truth be told I have had time to update for a fairly good portion of that time, but haven’t wanted to either because I was sorting through things in my head, was rather stressed out about various things or, this is the most likely scenerio I suppose, had nothing of note to say.

I can say that I did buy a motorcycle a while back, in August actually. 2000 Honda Shadow VLX deluxe, here are the only pics I happen to have handy of the bike. Its only about 600 CCs, is damn fun, and was only 2 grand (plus insurance, plus tax etc). It eats up a lot of my free time.

In other news, I work the same as before although it has been mildly stressful lately for various reasons. I have some major expenses this month that i hadn’t expected so money is tighter then normal. Ummmm yeah I suppose I really don’t have much to say still.

I did Play Dirge of Cerberus (The FFVII Vincent fan vehicle). Its utter fan candy but its good fan candy. Andy I would both give it somewhere between a high C and a B something in the ratings.

Jay, Laura, Maren, Jay’s Mom and I are all going to a twins game on 10/1. Should be fun. I was trying to convince Sean, my former prof, to come visit for it as it is agains teh white sox but he is apparently too bummed out concerning the fact that the White Sox are more or less screwed this time around to show up. Makes me sad as I would like to see that old coot.

I think that might actually wrap up my story for right now. The life of a working stiff aint that interesting.

Also, I updated the ATM page on this site. Checkit out. I am considering adding links to teh various media that I mention there but am not sure yet. Thoughts?

So I startedto write an update earlier today and then got very distracted by dealing with a few other things, mainly updating this computer to be able to do a hell of a lot more then it could before. It pwns pretty hard now and has more or less taken the place of my laptop as my daily use computer. I am sure that my laptop will still gte a lot of use for random other things, but as general usage goes, this sucker is humming along pretty nicely.

So lets see, what has been going on in my life lately. The heat broke last monday night, or tuesday night or something like that. ANyway, the day that it broke was also the day that my a/c got fixed so I haven’t had a reason to use it again. Murphy’s law and all that. Tomorrow hopefully my garbage disposal will get fixed cause thats kinda lame.

I went out and played pool with Jory on Friday, that was fun and it had been since mid June since I had so much as touched a pool cue. Did pretty decently although I certainly fucked up in some areas. All well, thats life aint it? The bartender was sending out some weird signals, some free drinks and free pool but when I fould out that she has a boyfriend I decided that was not a situation I wanted to be in. After I finished my drink of course.

I got invited to somebodies 20 year sobriety party later this month. Irony and all of that, but I am going to do my damndest to get there. Awesome awesome lady. Its damn nice that I was invited.

Still looking for a motorcycle and all of that jazz. Hopefully soon but I am willing to wait as it looks like I might be getting a new car sometime within the next year. I certainly don’t want to make any more extended roadtrips in my car this summer. I figured it out and since memorial day I have driven roughly 5 thousand miles. Thats fucking insane. And now there aint no a/c in the car which is lame for summer trips.

I cooked again last night, made a really rather good porkchop dinner with various other things thrown in there. Forgot that I tend to get a bit drunk while I cook and got a bit drunk. A legacy of my teacher I suppose, one that I don’t particularly mind really. Especially when the dinner turns out that fucking well.

I think that about wraps up this weekend edition of Idoru.
